Dark Chocolate White Cheddar Scone Drops

INGREDIENTS

1 Cup Cold Oat Milk (Any other milk will work too)

8 Tablespoons Cold Butter cut in chunks

2 Cups All Purpose Flour (or Bob’s Redmill 1:1 Gf Flour)

1 Teaspoon Honey

1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda

2 Teaspoons Baking Powder

1 Teaspoon Flakey Salt (3/4 Teaspoon regular sea salt)

1 3/4 cup Extra Finely Shredded White Cheddar Cheese

1 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips or Semisweet

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat Oven to 375°

  2. Combine all dry ingredients and cheese in a bowl and whisk together.

  3. Add Cold butter and Honey use a pastry cutter to “cut” it into the dry ingredients (don’t over mix: should be very lumpy) if you don’t have a pasty cutter, use a wooden spoon to chop it into the mixture.

  4. slowly add half the milk as you are mixing entire mixture with a fork and, add chocolate chips and add the rest of the milk mix until the flour is incorporated and mixture is very lumpy.

  5. Shape into balls with your hands and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 mins, remove when they are a little gooey, but browned on top.

  6. let them cool.. as they cool they will continue baking and will get the flakey texture that you desire!

  7. Top with flakey salt and raw honey and serve!
